By the crowd of worshippers, Sorry for their sins, Was a poor wanderer, Rudely brought in; Scribes came and Pharisees Anxious to see What the meek Nazarene's Verdict would be.
Chorus: Neither do I condemn thee, Precious words divine, From the lips of mercy Like the sweetest chime. Wonderful words of Jesus, Sing them o'er and o'er, "Neither do I condemn thee, Go and sin no more.
"They told of her wanderings, Making each flaw, Spoke of her punishment, Quoting the law, Writing upon the ground Sadly and slow, But said He unheedingly, Head bending low.
Chorus: Neither do I condemn thee, Precious words divine, From the lips of mercy Like the sweetest chime. Wonderful words of Jesus, Sing them o'er and o'er, "Neither do I condemn thee, Go and sin no more.
"Spoke He most tenderly, Pray, woman, pray, Hast thou no accusers?" "Nay, Master, nay," "Neither do I condemn thee, Soul, sick and sore; Go forth, I pardon thee Go and sin no more.
Chorus: Neither do I condemn thee, Precious words divine, From the lips of mercy Like the sweetest chime. Wonderful words of Jesus, Sing them o'er and o'er, "Neither do I condemn thee,Go and sin no more."
I love this above song and today this is what our minister preached on. It is found in John 8:1-11 (below):
1Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.
2And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
3And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,
4They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
5Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
6This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
7So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
8And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
9And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
10When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
11She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
I like this song and Scripture very much not only because it is true but because it shows the mercy, love and forgivness God has for man..God can forgive ALL sin no matter how bad or horrible it is. It is unbelievable but IT IS TRUE!! Everyone has sinned and come short of the Glory of God but God sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross to take that sin away!! I was just amazed once again. And it makes me so happy that I am able to go to heaven because God forgave all my sin!! These are just some thoughts I had today. God is so good!!
I got the words of the song here: http://jlfoundation.net/neither-do-i-condemn-thee.html
If you want to hear the song here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oyQjWNEKXxQ (sorry it is not the best quality :D )

Saturday's Work Session!!
Today I did get to work Navajo which was a bit of a surprise as I had no intention of doing so..Anyway first thing in the morning I go out and take care of Navajo..I did the usual things and then I decided to work a bit on him coming when I whistle which is coming along very good..I have carrots which is his reward when he comes when I whistle..So that was not really unusual because I usually try to take carrots out and get him to do things for me to earn the carrots so to speak. Well then of course I figured ok that is all I am going to do for today:) Well, I did all my inside work and the last thing was taking out the trash..Well since I had turned Navajo out even though it is quite cold for about an hour (so he could stretch his legs and spend some time outside of his stall) I figured I would bring him in. I had the trash in hand and realized what a great opportunity I had :D He hates platic bags..well hate is a strong word..He doesn't like them..at one point he hated them. So I whistled for him to come to me (of course I had a carrot) and he came. Then I introduced the bag of trash. Once he saw I had the trash in hand he was a bit warry of me and the trash bag :D Well I rubbed it all over him, set it on his back and just mainly got him used to it. Then I set the bag on the ground and got him to come up to me and the bag. He did really awesome and toward the end the bag of trash was of no concern to him anymore:) So I was like for the final test I am going to hop on with the lead rope as my reins and we are going to take the trash up to the DUMPSTER..hehe. We have only done this one time before but the last time I had the halter on. HE was ok with me hopping on him with the trash and listened really well to my leadrope/reins and leg cues!! I got him to go up to the trash dumpster and stopped him by it..We were to far away from the dumpter and since I didn't know how he would respond with me opening the dumpster I just got him to walk away, stopped him and then hopped off and walked him back to he dumpter to put the bag of trash in it..Overall he did wonderful and it was a very short and sweet training session. It is 20 out with a slight breeze that goes right thru you (or so it seems). Then I put him in the barn and let him munch on carrots as his treat for doing so well!! I am proud of my horse..He is more bombproof than he was when I first got him..it also has to do with the trust I believe! Have a wonderful and hopefully cozy weekend:)

Friday's Ride
This evening I did get to ride..But only at a walk as the ground was frozen. I got him to move his hindquarters and forequarters. He is definitely getting better and I am really happy about that! I can tell because he responds a whole lot faster than he did at one point! I did a lot of backing to. I didn't do much but walk around and then I got off and got him to back from the ground and also got him to walk beside me..Nothing to indepth but it was good for him to get out of his stall to walk around and stretch his legs..he was inside all day due to the wind! I hope it is nice tomorrow so we can go on a longer ride! Have a great evening!
p.s. Finally an update..Sorry I haven't updated in a while but got a lot going on here!!

Tuesday's Ride!!
Today I got to ride..It is a little windy out but not to bad. It is a bit muddy too:) Anyway I got Navajo and groomed him and loved on him a bit..Then I bridled him. I hopped on and we rode back behind the barn by the field. I walked him a bit to warm up and then I stopped him and asked him to move his hindquarters to the right..It took a bit of persuasion but he got it..Then I asked him to do it again..I got him to do it 3 or 4 times. Then I asked him to move them to the left. That took a bit more persuasion but he did it..I got him to move it a few more times.
I was like well you are doing so well moving your hindquarters lets try the forequarters. He did it very good on the front as well..Amazingly he actually moves his forequarters better from the saddle than he does from the ground..Not sure why but he does. Then I rewarded him by petting him and letting him stand for a bit..Then I did some backing too. He does ok with that too!
So since Navajo did so well with moving his legs around I figured now we can do some trotting an cantering! He was all for it..I think he liked the idea of moving his legs only this time forward :D Well we cantered back and forth and then I let him go..We cantered for a nice long stretch..He seemed really happy and like he had tons of energy after that :) I am so happy..Overall it was a very productive ride..I am very happy to have him as a horse!!

RIDING!!
OH I HAD FUN!!! We did a more cantering than I have done for a LONG TIME!!! I went riding with Stephanie's friend and Stephanie. I did take pictures once we got back but didn't take any of me riding since we went riding along the road! Sharon wasn't there (not sure where she was) She is the one who owns the place and some of the horses..She allows others to board their horses there. Anyway we met up with Stepahnies friend (sorry I forget her name :D) and talked with her. Stephs friend has RainDance who is a year and a half and she showed us the tricks she can do..She knows how to shake a leg (still learning this) and how to lay down and how to sit..Really impressive..Steph got on her (just to sit) to see how RainDance would take it! She did great! Then we got the horses out, Sundance, Beauty and Lightning. We tacked them up (western) and trotted around the place a bit before we headed out so I could get used to Beauty!!
Then we headed out..It was like 3:20 when we headed out. We got back to the barn I am guessing around 4:20...Something like that. Anyway we walked out to the end of the road and turned right. We went a little ways then started to canter..IT WAS FUN!!! Then we walked a ways again and cantered again..We cantered like 3 or four times..If the fields wouldn't have been wet we would have headed out in the fiels and galloped and tons of stuff like that..Maybe another time!
But it was very much fun being able to hang out with some horsey people and ride another horse. ALso being able to ride in a group was fun.
I found out a bit more about Navajo's Background..Ok not sure if this is all exactly right but this is somewhat the drift: Sharon got Navajo from an auction (not positive it was an auction) but they do know the people that had him before Sharron overworked him because he was a carriage horse. So that is why his one leg is hurt (didn't think about it but I think it got hurt at one point and might be why he stumbles occasionally). Anyway Sharon got him and then sold him to someone else (the people who had him before Steph and Rhonda (my cousin). They mainly used him for their friends and things like that..Mainly for people who didn't know how to ride..They were moving so since Navajo was the "extra" horse they needed to get rid of him..Sharon found out about hthis so she told my cousin and steph and they Got Navajo for free..and then passed him on to me!! So that is the story..They still aren't sure how old he is..Still a mystery..but that is the drift of the story..Not sure what all is true for sure..A little iffy but I will see if I can meet up with Sharon sometime and talk it over:)
Over all it was very much fun and a little productive!! :) No riding Navajo today because I rode here but I am so happy to be able to go on a "trail ride" with others!!

Friday's Work Session!!
This evening I got to work with Navajo a bit:) I actually wasn't planning on it but I am teaching him to come when I whistle which he knows if he comes he gets a treat (carrot, apple or other horse treat:D) So I have been workin on this for a little while now. And he is getting it slowly but surely...He doesn't always come right away but he is learning. Anyway I was like he is listening good and he knows I have carrots..So I got him to follow me around..I did a lot of inhand work which was mostly getting him to trot and walk when I jogged or walked. And that also included if I walked faster he walked faster and if I jogged/ran faster he trotted faster..he actually did really good. I would slow down a bit and he was slowing down right with me! It was so cool. I also got him to move his forequarters and in just the past few days he has definitely gotten better. I am so happy with him..I did some backing up to. Then to finish up the session we trotted back to the barn and he got a nice long grooming session..Most of the dust ended up on me :D I had fun though..I hope to ride tomorrow..We will see. Have a wonderful weekend!

Today's Work Session!
Today I did get to work with Navajo a bit:):) I got him to back up and really worked on him moving his forequarters!! He tried to bite me one time and I smacked..I probably shouldn't have but I don't want to get bit and it is upsetting..No excuse...I have decided anytime he trys to or does bite me He moves his feet..My rule :D He is getting better at moving his forequarters from the ground and I am glad..I also worked on backing!! I also spent some time loving on him and grooming him..He is the best horse ever :D Tomorrow we will see how it is and that will decide what we do:) Have a great evening!

SUCCESS!!!
I HAD SUCCESS TODAY!! I rode Navajo and decided today would just be walking around the farm here:):) So we went up around the steer pen and rode back in the back around the trees and made circles..Then we rode up to the moterhome that is in the yard (my uncle fixes generators) and Navajo was fine with it until I made the plastic thing on the the moterhome rattle..then he got nervous:) He tried to run away but I didn't let him..He didn't like that area after that. Well since he had moved his hindquarters around when he was trying to get away I was like I am going to see if I can get him to move his hindquarters and forequarters around now that I am on him!
AND HE DID!! It was so awesome...I did hindquarters first and moved them both ways..HE DID REALLY WELL AND RESPONDED ALMOST IMMEDIATELY!!! Then I did the forequarters and he didn't do AS well but HE STILL DID IT and that is success compared to all the other times I have done it..We did it I dont' know how many times but quite a few..I praised him and headed back to the barn:):) I groomed him and turned him out..I am so happy with him this morning!!

You may be wondering!
Hehe you guys may be wondering what happened all of a sudden..I am writing blogs not really related to anything but things I am thinking about..Well I won't usually do this but I was thinking last night (for some reason I was in deep thought:D) how it is good for me to say these things and it might help someone else..Don't know how of if it will just a thought..Hope you enjoy and have a great rest of the day!!
I am thankful for:
I was also thinking last night I am thanful for my friends but I am thankful for Navajo too!! For some reason God used my horse (yes God uses strange things sometimes but it is amazing) to bring me closer to Him. Don't ask me why he used Navajo but he did. During this past year and a half I have done a lot of changing and I think for the better! I have come from more of a shy person to a person who is not shy and wants to make friends! I also have learned that being myself is the best way to go...If I were not myself and tried to be someone that someone else wanted me to be I would not be happy nor would I do what I really wanted to do or be. This all is coming from a few e-mails discusions that my one HC friend and I were having! And it really got me to thinking. God has been good to me and he has taught me a lot..I still have a lot I need to learn but I am happy with the changes that have been made in the last year and a half and I want to be changed for the better in a visable and some invisable ways this coming year. I want to live for God. Also thanks again to my friends who have challenged me in different areas of my life!! You guys are the best!!
Friends!
Last night I was thinking how thankful I am for lots of things..One of them was friends..God has blessed me very much in the area of friends..I have numerous ones. A lot of them from HorseChannel. And you know I am very thankful for each one! I have two that are like sisters to me. I have another one I met elsewhere who is also a horse lover and she is adopted and doesn't have any siblings and I am her older sister. To me it is amazing how God leads different people into my life and I touch their lives in ways I probably will never know and they touch my life in ways they would be amazed! God knows what is best that is for sure!! I just wanted to say a personal thank you to each one of you guys who have stood by me when I needed help weather it was with family problems or just a horse problem that I couldn't have fixed without your input..and then also the times that we talk about anything from horses to our families and share our lives with each other. GOD is so good..Thank you dear friends for just being my friends and for being here for me when I need you!! Thanks!!
Tuesday's Groundwork!
Ok this morning I worked with Navajo on groundwork...Let's just say it went ok:D I went out and mucked out the pasture and then I went and got him and groomed him..HE seemed to enjoy that..He actually is pretty nice and white again as he got rained on Sunday...He is nice and soft:)
Anyway once we were done grooming him I decided today wer would work on moving his forquarters and hindquarters to get him really good at it..He is very good at moving his hindquarters BUT his forquarters still needs quite a bit of work. So that is what we did first thing. I got him to move them and he kept going forward so I gave him the cue and used my other hand to push him the way I wanted to go..He got it then but still needed directing..So today I showed him what I wanted and tomorrow if I ride instead of groundwork I still want to work on seeing if he remembers what I showed him today:)
He kept using his teeth and pulling on my clothing..I hit him every time he did it and that is something I want to break before it gets into a full blown biting session..I don't need that. I don't know why he is doing this because he has never done it before maybe once or twice. I know what to do I just don't like that he has the habit at all.
The work session went OK but he was either trying to eat grass or bite my clothing or not do as I asked..I would ask him to move one set of hindquarters and he moved all four feet..So the attention wasn't there like it should have been..But I have noticed we need to work at him respecting me when we work on groundwork with the halter on..because sometimes I use the bridle depending on what we all do. Just some things I noticed..So now I have an idea what all I want to work on and be a good ways hopefully on to achieving these things by spring...We will see.

Saturday's Ride
I FINALLY GOT TO RIDE:) Amazing is it not :) :) Well the nice thing is we have had nice weather (40's and 50's) since Thursday but have not had the chance to ride till now..I did have work sessions but nothing really to talk about so that is why I did not update:)
So today I did get to ride..Around 2 I headed out to ride Navajo. I groomed him and just bonded with him a little before I rode..After he was groomed I bridled him (no saddle) and hopped on...He didn't walk off till I asked him to and I was very pleased with him about that..Then I headed down the strip..At first he acted as though he couldn't trot..I knew he could as I had done some in hand trotting earlier this morning. Eventually he got into the groove of things and trotted..We did some serpentines at a walk.
Then I went up the strip as though we would go home and turned him around..We did some backing and things..I stopped him just to give him a bit of a break..WEELL a motercycle came up behind us on the road (we are on the strip beside the road) and it backfires and it scares Navajo..He shoots forward kinda prancing..I didn't fall off but I think it scared him more than anything..After that he was wound a bit tight.
I asked for a canter and he cantered around the corner..about when I was ready to ask for a stop he bucked two times..HE NEVER DID THAT BEFORE..I didn't fly off then either but could have easily..I told him in no uncertain terms is he ever aloud to do that :D :D
Well I trotted him some more and got him to move his hindquarters both ways..Then we headed back..I asked for a gallop and he did:) I slowed him and then walked to the big yard..Then I got him to walk around to cool off..And I asked him to move his hindquarters again a few times..Boy was he not happy! He kept trying to put his head down and run back to the barn but I stood my ground..He wasn't too happy but I did get him to move his hindquarters with MUCH persuasion..After he did I let him go back to the barn at a walk..Then I unbridled him and walked him a bit. To reward him for being a good boy for some of the time I scratched him in his favorite spots and just petted him..He really liked that..over all it was a great time with Navajo..Was a bit sore from persuading him to move his hindquarters..hehe! Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

A Day at the Farmshow!
Today we went to the PA Farm show at the Farm show complex..for more info: http://www.farmshow.state.pa.us/. We left here around 9 and ate at the Diner Restraunt for breakfast. We left there around 10:) And got there at the farm show around 11. IT was a very fun day. We first took my dad to where he wanted to be which was with the tractor guys and then us girls went and looked at the animals and the exhibaters (sp). IT WAS TONS OF FUN..We saw the Mustang Demonstration on how they train Mustangs and horses..Very interesting then we went and looked at the cows and Rachel petted a horse! Too COOL..Then we saw the rabbits and a few other animals. THEN we went into the main hall where the vendors and things were..We found a lot of neat stuff..I found a person who drew horses who lives not far from us and bought a few of her things..very good artist! I also got some other things too! Rachel spent time playing in the play area..We also got to watch a show thing "Broadway down on the Farm" Very neat!! Tons of fun and LOVE GOING EVERY YEAR!!

This morning I got to work with Navajo a bit..First I cleaned up all the soiled straw and then I went out and got him..I walked him around just to see how well he does at leading again when that is all we do..and see how quickly he responds to any cues I give:) AND HE DID REALLY GOOD..You might ask why would you just do that and nothing else..Well I guess it never hurts anyone horse or person to have a little easy job now and then:) So today was easy and since we can't do much since the ground is frozen :) Have a great week!

Tuesday's Ride/Work Session!
Today I did get to work with Navajo a bit..I was going to ride him..well I did for a bit but then got off because the ground seemed to be bothering him since it was hard..So I did some in hand work. Since we rode halfway down the strip till I got off I turned him around and got him to walk beside me the whole way back:) I got him to stop beside me right when I stop and that is really good:) I am happy about that..I got him to back up and then we went back to the barn..It wasn't long but IT WAS SO COLD..my hands actually were so cold they hurt :D
I got some hay today so now I have all the hay I will need for this winter..boy does that make me feel good:) If you haven't noticed yet..I did add some little links to different pages on my blog here..Hope you like it..The blog isn't completely done how I want yet but it is well on its way..thanks to All Around Horses. Have a great day!

My Horses
Current Horses:
Daisy is my second horse. She is a quarter horse/appaloosa mare. Her birthday is February 23, 2004. I gave Navajo away (my first horse) on August 30th, 2010. In the month following that, I trained my cousin's horse Beauty and had Curly (a friend's horse..also Freedom's dad) here at the farm. Thru a friend I found out about Daisy. I bought her, brought her home to the farm, and Curly went home again. So glad I made the decision to give Navajo up even though it was hard..I would never had the chance to own Daisy!! And thru not owning Daisy, I would not have gotten Freedom!
--------------------------------------------------
Freedom was born April 25th, 2012 :) His father is Curly and his mother Daisy. I sold Shasta (a previous horse listed below) and in her place, I am kept Freedom. He is a curious horse and like a very large dog. :) Do not regret keeping him one bit!

Previous Horses:

Navajo was my first horse. He was an Appaloosa gelding and I owned him for two years. I learned how to ride on him and he taught me a lot about myself and training. A lot of what I know now, I learned on him, from teaching him things and he taught me many things too. He was an awesome first horse and I am thankful I was able to own him. I gave him away on August 30, 2011. Navajo was put down February 2, 2012. I am thankful I got to own him and that he was able to go to another good home for the last year of his life!
--------------------------------------------------
Shasta was my third horse. I owned her for a year and a half and sold her October 12th 2012. Shasta is a Paso-Fino mare. I found her thru a friend as well. In the year and a half I had her, I bred her to Curly. She had a colt and he was born May 23rd 2012. I named him Mateo.
--------------------------------------------------
I named Shasta's baby, Mateo. He went to his new home when he was 5 months old on October 19th, 2012. He is at a good home :)

Goals for the New Year
These are goals I have for my personal life and for Navajo and I.
My goals:
- I would like to become closer to God.
- I would like to read the whole Bible thru (already started on that but I want to completely
finish it by the end of this year:)
-I would like to change in ways visible and invisable to me and others.
- Oh and this one I don't know how good I will be at keeping it but I want to try my best..it is
working with Navajo at least 10 minutes per day (except Sunday)..And that doesn't include
riding..Riding would be extra :) Some days we would obviously ride instead of work but on
training days I would ride and work. We will see how it all works out.
Those are just a few of my personal goals.
Now for the goals that I want to achieve with Navajo and I:
-I would like to get him to move his hindquarters and forquarters without much pressure at all.
This is going to take quite a bit of work but I really want him to be able to do this:) It will show
obediant he is or at least I think so.
- Sidepass eventually.
-Learn the basics of Dressage (we have a good start on this I think).
- Get better at Flexing his neck.
- Get really good at inhand work, such as walking, trotting and stopping when I do...He does
really good with this already but I want to get to the point that I don't need an halter or lead
to do this.
- And last but not least maybe SOMEDAY get him to ride bitless. I don't know if this will ever
happen as he doesn't listen the best without a bridle but I think we could eventually achieve it
if we work on it.
These are a few of my goals..Some are to achieve THIS year and some are for the future..I might add some later as I think of more but these are just some I can think of:) I think they are good goals. What are you goals for this year and the future?

Monday's Work Session!
Fianllay a Work Session..Been a while since I updated on anything Navajo and I did together :D :D
Anyway this morning I did work with Navajo...I went out and mucked out his stall and cleaned up manure:) Then I went out and got Navajo (I turned him out while I was mucking out the stall/run in). I got him to do some backing up and he did that pretty good..He kept wanting to eat and put his head down to eat but I kept making him bring it up..Was not to happy with me but I was like you silly goose you can eat all day..hehe.
Then I got him to lift his right leg to shake a leg:) He did very well with that. Then I got him to move his hindquarters around..He has definitely really inproved with that since this summer:) Because I had to really really push him to get him to move ANYTHING but he moved it when i asked..EVEN his forequarters which he just recently started getting better at that..That is one thing I want to teach him this coming year is to move his fore and hindquarters from the saddle..We will see how that goes:)
Then lastly I got him to flex his neck..He did ok with that..That will need work:) Hope everyone has a great week:)

January 2nd 2010!
I did get to go to a youth activity last evening..SO MUCH FUN!!! What happened is I had called my friend Lori in the afternoon and asked her if the youth were doing anything last evening and she had said no..Then around 5 she called me and said my brother (lee) and my sister (louanne) invited the youth over to our house to play games and treat and asked if I want to come..I told her I have to ask dad first:) So I asked my dad and he said I could go..I had to be there at 7:) So I got ready and then my family got ready..I grabbed a sandwich quick before we left (that was my supper..hehe). My family was going to go out to eat which didn't bother me since we do that every Saturday anyway:) Family Tradition:D So I got there at Lori's house around 7 and everyone started showing up soon after that. Since it was game night some different people brought games.
The different choices for games was: acquire (never played it and don't know how), Dutch Blitz (card game you can play individuals or in pairs), and Taboo (word game). So since I like Dutch Blitz that is what I picked..We had four guys and four girls..We put two cards of each of the four sets of cards in the middle and everyone picked one and whoever had matching cards were a pair..We played I think four games of it...We finished around 9:30. Then we had treat and mom picked me up at 10:) IT WAS A FUN EVENING...I got to meet some of the other youth that I hadn't met when we went caroling. I can hardly wait till the next youth activity:)
